Has it Really been since August?!?!?

So, it's been quite some time since I last made a post on here. SO much has happened, I think I'll try to give you a brief lowdown into our crazy Buchholz life! ........

In September, Andrew was promoted to Accouting Manager at his company. We are very excited about his promotion and are very proud of him and all his hard work. Let me emphasize hard work! We are most thankful he still has such a great job in this economy. However we could definately do without the 10 hor work days 5 days a week, not to mention the hour & a half drive each way. We miss our daddy!!

On October 17th we welcomed our beautiful Baby girl, Macy Claire Buchholz into our family. She was born 2 weeks early on a Saturday at 7:03am. She was 7 lbs. 3 oz. and 19 1/2 inches. She looks exactly like Landon did as a baby, but more petit. She is beautiful!

Landon LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his baby sis. Did I mention that Landon LOVES his sis? He wasn't able to visit us at the hospital with it being RSV season and the H1N1 scare .... so thankfully my mom and sister took turns taking care of him. We got home from the hospital and first thing Landon did was kiss his little sister. Oh, and he wanted to hold her. He is absolutely adorable with her, I love to just sit and watch him interact with her. (I will admit at times I do truly believe he's going to smother her!) I hope this love and admiration lasts all their lives! So .... when I get ready in the mornings I typically put Macy in her bouncy chair in the bathroom and turn on Pooh or Barney for Landon to watch in my room. I put Macy in the bathroom where I can see her to make sure Landon isn't all over her and loving her too much. Landon normally loves wacthing his shows and often times doesn't even move off my bed during the process. However, this week he brought hi little giraffe chair in the bathroom next to Macy and talked to her the entire time!

The first week of December we ernt to Disneyland with my sister Haylee, Lee & Kinsey and Van as well as my parents. We had a great time together and the kids had a blast. Landon and Van are all about Buzz and Woddy while Kinsey is mesmerized with Princess Tiana.

I recently returned to work, and am fortunate enough to have put in my 2 weeks! This Saturday is my last day. I'm so very excited to stay at home full time with my babies! However I will be doing hair at home, so if you're interested, let me know!

Landon turned 2 on January 4th! It's hard to imagine 2 years have come and gone! We blessed Macy on the 3rd and afterwards celebrated Landon's big day too! Landon loved playing with his friends and cousins. Thanks to all who came.

We are finally going to be moving into town ..... I can't yet comprehend what life will be like when I can run the errands I need to get done and still be able to get my kids a nap! I can't wait for the day.

Well, that sums up our last few big moments for the past months! My New Years resolution is to be more diligent in updating this! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

1. When was your "engagement" anniversary?
Andrew proposed to me on April 30th, 2004

4. How long did you date before you were married?
We started dating about 2 weeks after we met, and knew we were getting married by the beginning of February. All in all we had been together about 8 months when we got married.

5. Where did you meet your spouse for the 1st time?
Funny story .... I was working at America West airlines in their reservation department at the time and was kinda given no option but to go out with my co-worker Sam. I knew that Sam really liked me and I had no romantic interest in him, I tried and tried to make as un-date like as possible, but he wasn't having it. The day of our "date" his friend, Ben (who happened to be Andrew's best friend) asked us if we wanted to go with him and a few others, Andrew included to see the Lord of the Rings movie. I really didn't know Ben nor did I really care for Lord of the Rings, but I immediately said YES as this would help make this more like Sam & I were just hanging out. Well, long story short Andrew and I ended up sitting next to each other during the movie and really hit it off. It took us both 2 weeks of begging Ben to give each person the other's phone number and we've been together ever since!

6. What is your spouse's full name?
Andrew Philip Buchholz

7. Do you have any children yet?
Yes!

8. How many?
Landon who is almost 20 months and full of energy, & we're expecting Macy at the end of October!

9. Do you have any pets?
Nope

10. Do you own a house or rent?
Given the economy, I wish we were renting but nope we own our home. I guess you could say we own our home even though we're completely upside down in it! Yikes!

11. Do you live in the country or town/city?
I'd say Queen Creek is a town

12. What is one of your favorite activites together?
Before Landon came along - we loved to go to the batting cages or play softball/baseball
Since Landon's arrived - anything as along as we're all together!

13. Do you have a favorite vacation spot?
We love the DC area but still searching for the perfect place

14. How many sibling do each of you have?
I have a sister & brother and Andrew has 1 brother

15. What church do you attend?
We're LDS

16. Where were you married?
The Wright House in Mesa, AZ

17. What town is your current address at?
Queen Creek, AZ

18. Do you work or stay at home?
Well I only work part time as a hairstylist and I get to spend the majority of my time with our little boy!

19. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Hmmm ..... another interesting story! We were young and poor at the time and decided we'd be cheap and go up to my grandparents cabin for the week and see the Grand Canyon and other AZ landmarks. However the day before the wedding my grandma informed my dad her and my grandpa were planning on being up at the cabin too! Yikes! Trying to save my parents some money, I found a nice beach house in Rocky Point, Mexico and once we had paid and picked up the key we found out there was no air conditioning! No good in August in Mexico! Long story short, we were also in the wrong part of Rocky point and walked in to the beach house at about 250 degrees around 6pm. We tried to open the windows and let it cool off but everytime you walked inside, you were drenched in sweat. We didn't want to venture through rocky point to find some place for the night and decided to head for the border before it closed! On our way, we were stoped by the Mexican police armed with machine guns and made us evacuate and searched our car, saw a horse run across the highway and stayed awake by counting the mice that ran across the road and hoping we didn't hit all of them! But we made it to the border before it closed and spent the week at our new condo and enjoyed each other! Someday, we'll take a real honeymoon!

20. Leave a piece of advice for other couples?
Always be open with each other, about everything. Don't go to bed angry with one another.

A Quick Update ....

Man, everytime I update this thing I always think, I really am gonna do this at least once a week! And to no avail, life always seems too crazy and the updates never seem to happen =) I guess that's what happens when I've been working 50 + hours a week, being a mommy to our sweet Landon, carrying around our little girl, studying (at least attempting to) for my huge Redken color certification test, and trying to find time to spend with my hubby! Life recently slowed down for us, yay!
I was able to step down for my salon manager position at Ulta and return to the Queen Creek location while still being able to provide benefits for our family. I am now only working 17 hours a week and am able to be at home for the majority of EVERY day with Landon. I LOVE it! Andrew I'm sure is very happy too as this reduces his load he's been handling in our household! I have to give him props as he has been truly wonderful the last few months. Nearly every Saturday he found time to clean, go grocery shopping and have dinner made by the time I returned from work. He and Landon have such a special bond, I love to watch them play and interact. How blessed we are to have such a great daddy!
Thursday marks my official 30 week date with my pregnancy with Macy. Boy is she ever active! I have a feeling she'll be just like her brother, ALWAYS ready to go, go, go! I swear yesterday I was convinced she was trying to kick her way out of me! We are getting anxious for her arrival! I think it was close to this time in my pregnancy with Landon that all I wanted was to see what he looked like, I can't wait to see our baby girl!
On August 13th Andrew and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! It's crazy to think it's been that long but then again, I can't imagine nor remember what life was like without him! I'm so thankful to have eternity with him and our kids! We celebrated at the Melting Pot. It seems as though that is becoming our anniversary tradition =)

It's a .........

GIRL!!!!

Andrew, Landon & I are excited to announce that Landon is going to have a little sister! We are so anxious for this new addition! We finally get to use our coveted name, Macy Claire. They upped my due date to October 29th so hopefully Macy can have her own special day. Right after swimming lessons I headed out to my favorite 2nd hands kid store, Kid 2 Kid in Scottsdale to buy some adorable girl clothing! Macy is already spoiled!

We are staying busy working and enjoying every minute we have with our sweet little Landon!

Landon started swimming lessons today! He took 2 sessions last summer, but then again he was only 6 months old=) He enjoys the water but is still afraid of the unknown. Our hope is that by next summer mommy and lil' Macy can take swimmming lessons together while Landon is a big boy and takes lessons all by himself! Wish us luck!

Our ward just split, I think this is the third time since we have lived out here in the good ole QC! Or maybe just twice but our stake split also in the 3 1/2 years we been here. It's wonderful to see all the growth and especially within the church! I was so excited thinking I could get released from my calling as a relief society teacher with the split but to no avail within the first few days after the split, I was contacted by my new RS president asking if I would continue. I guess the Lord has more in store that I need to learn =) I'll gladly do so!

Landon is definately ALL BOY! He has more energy than any of us know what to do with! We are looking forward to the first week of July, as it will be Landon's 1st week in nursery! I will most definately miss him but look forward to actually being able to listen in sunday school as well as RS. He's so cute and sweet! I'lltry to get some new pics posted soon!

Promotion .....

Andrew and I were extremely excited but also a little torn when I was offered a great promotion, I am the new salon manager for Ulta at the Superstition Springs location. It was a hard decision to make with the many hours required and our sweet little Landon and baby on the way. It'll definately be a challenging yet exciting move for us! Keep us in your prayers, we'll need all the extra help we can get!

Baby Update

I am officially 9 1/2 weeks pregnant. With a due date of November 1st, which happens to be my birthday! I'm kinda torn, cause it would be sweet to share my day with our sweet baby but at the same time I'd like it to have it's own special day ..... I guess only time will tell!

A day at the Zoo

So these pictures are about 2 months old, however in January Andrew and I got to take Landon to the zoo. We had a blast and Landon loved looking at all the animals! Here's a few pictures from our adventure!
